Both printers meet FIS requirements for homologated timers
OVERVIEW
Both the Alge P5 and Seiko DPU-414 are designed for use with the complete range of Alge timers. These rugged thermal printers use very little power and are essential to meet FIS requirements for homologated timers that do not have onboard print capability.
DESCRIPTION- ALGE P5
  • Quiet and fast thermal printer
  • Prints at up to 5 lines per second
  • Easy paper change
  • Paper spool is integrated into printer to eliminate paper jams
  • No moving parts: print head is fixed
  • Available in various models depending on your timer type (see below)
DESCRIPTION- SEIKO DPU414
  • Small thermal serial / parallel printer ideally suited to Alge Timy, Comet, or S4
  • Built-in rechargeable battery
  • Virtually silent -- the ideal backup device for high-volume racing
  • RS232C and 8-bit Centronics parallel interfaces
  • Prints 40 columns or 80 columns (condensed)
  • Onboard buffer allows for paper change during an event with no loss of data
  • Inexpensive, easy-to-find standard thermal paper

  • Printer P5-5: DIN 5-pin plug for S4, OPTIc

  • Printer P5-25: DB25 connector for Timy S and Timy XE
